Miami Emerging Arts Leaders. Cultural Tourism in Miami: What Every Emerging Arts Leader Should Know.
 

What does the trajectory of a cultural leader look like? How do cultural traditions play a role in the shaping of a cultural community? In this special session, we will explore these question and more.

 

Join us for a conversation, moderated by Alejandro Aguirre of Aguirre Consultants, where we will get to know Aida’s trajectory as a cultural leader and explore the growth of Miami’s arts community and the important role of the arts in preserving our diverse cultural traditions. All are welcome as Aida shares her expertise and insight. Followed by an interactive Q&A.

 

Aida Levitan, Ph.D. is the president of the marketing and consulting firm The Levitan Group. She is the founder of ArtesMiami, Inc., the non-profit group that fosters and supports Hispanic artist and cultural organizations in South Florida. Levitan serves on the boards of the Miami Spanish Cultural Center and the National Friends of the America Latino Museum.  Former Deputy Editor & Publisher of Diario Las Américas, Miami's first Spanish language daily newspaper, Alejandro Aguirre has a long track record championing the arts on local, state, regional, national and international levels. Among his many cultural leadership positions, Alejandro has served as Chair of the Florida State Arts Council, Chairman of the Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Council, and most recently on the Board of ArtSouth.
