Join the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders and field experts for a panel discussion exploring the arts and health landscape and how organizations like Jackson Health and Baptist Health South Florida are incorporating the arts in both their therapeutic and medical practices as well as their state-of-the-art facilities. The session will also highlight an artwork that is part of the Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places collection. Located at the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center at Jackson, The Cat is a playful interactive sculpture by Swiss artist Olaf Breuning. It features specially designed components that assist with fine and gross motor skills therapy to help people recovering from traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions. All are welcome and the session will be followed by a Q&A.
